Uploadify v2.0.0 Has Been Launched

For those of you who have been waiting patiently for the launch of Uploadify v2.0, the wait is over.  As of July 24, 2009, Uploadify v2.0 is available for download on the Uploadify website as well as the JQuery plugins library and Google Code.

With the new version comes some big changes.  For Flash integration, we are now using SWFObject.  Also, the name of the function call has been changed from .fileUpload() to .uploadify().  These changes might prove to be a bit of a headache for some developers currently using v1.6.2 that want to upgrade, but it will be better down the road.  Other added features include the ability to change the method from GET to POST and the ability to assign a separate element as the file queue using the queueID attribute.

We've done much more extensive testing with this version.  Huge thanks to Travis Nickels for his work on the fine tuning of the plugin.  Hopefully we will start to see some new innovations in the way people are using it.
